Your Teacher. Ruby De La Peña. BIO. I am from Los Angeles California but have spent the last seventeen years in Alabama I met my husband and had my children here That’s why I call Alabama my home . Family. I have three children. They keep me busy. Friends.

  2. BIO I am from Los Angeles California but have spent the last seventeen years in Alabama I met my husband and had my children here That’s why I call Alabama my home

  3. Family I have three children They keep me busy

  4. Friends Outside of my own family, I have a very supportive secondary family. My friends

  5. Work Being a mom is my first job Being a Teacher comes second

  6. Fun When I’m not working, I am volunteering

  7. While volunteering with Phi Theta Kappa, I had the opportunity to travel to: Denver, Colorado

  8. Nashville, Tennessee

  9. San Jose and San Francisco, California

  10. Jackson, Mississippi

  11. I also traveled throughout the state of Alabama visiting different chapters and organizations including: Alpha Chi Tau Chapter at Wallace State Beta Pi Nu Chapter at Lurleen B Wallace CC Omicron Upsilon Chapterat Central Alabama CC Alpha Sigma Beta Chapter at Northwest-Shoals CC Alpha Zeta Iota Chapter at Northwest-Shoals CC Psi Epsilon Chapter at Northeast CC Alabama Possible Workshop, Birmingham Birmingham Southern, Service Learning Workshop

  12. I traveled a total of 3,133.5 miles Not including the trip to International convention in Tennessee or the flight to Denver Colorado

  13. Hobbies I love taking pictures!

Professional Information Elementary Education Major Associate of Science, Calhoun Community College Junior at Athens State University Favorite quote: “You’re not a failure until you start blaming everyone else around you” Usher I like this quote because it lets me know that only I am responsible for my actions. If I choose to give up, then that is my fault and no one else. I choose to keep moving forward because I can.
