  2. Mandatory Safety Training • Who must take these courses? • Anyone in an employment relationship who is paid for their work • Graduate students working as research or teaching assistants • Co-op students (university, secondary school), whether paid or unpaid • Visiting professors

Job-Specific Mandatory Training • Supervisors • Supervisor Safety Training – OHSA Responsibilities • Inspecting the Workplace • Incident Investigation • Training applicable to direct reports • Hazard-Specific – some examples • Lab Safety • Laser Safety • Forklift • Ladder Safety • Complete list of available training: www.safetyoffice.uwaterloo.ca/hse/training/safety-training-sessions.html * Management must determine required training based on job hazards and regulatory requirements.
