  2. 1. Identify Stakeholders any person, group or institution that: • has real or potential interest or involvement in a desired change; • could affect the outcomes or a process of that change (directly or indirectly); • could be affected by the change.

Define Influence & Importance • Define stkhs Influence (from high to low) Influence = power over the planning and implementation of the change • Define importance of the change to stkh Importance = extent to which stakeholders’ needs and interests will be affected by the change • Place them in a importance influence matrix • Decide on the action towards stakeholders

  4. Importance-Influence A. special initiatives needed to protect stakeholder interests B. good working relationship must be created HIGH IMPORTANCE C. Limited/no involvement low priority D. Source of risk, need for careful monitoring and management INFLUENCE LOW HIGH
