  1. The Scottish Referendum Leaving Great Britain

  2. Spectacle • In September 2014 Scotland intend to hold a referendum debating the issue of whether or not they should leave the united kingdom in favour of becoming a independent nation. Previously during Scotland's 2007 – 2011 Parliament the issue was brought forward but failed to gain any real support or momentum. • Over the recent years we have scene a greater coverage of Scotland wanting to depart from the U.K and stand by its self but how did this issue keep stirring up ? • Andy Murray before his famous Wimbledon victory often stated he was a Scottish tennis player and had no real association with England stirring many people within the country to see this his way of supporting the independence. With a high profile athlete releasing statements about his identity this has created a whole storm about them being separate from the collective that is GB

  3. Spectacle This spectacle and debate is being consumed by those within the U.K itself many politicians Within Britain claim don’t see the problem with being associated as a collective while those within Scotland say the no longer want To be scene as associated and want their own independence many who have consumed this have taken it different ways from mass protests involving over 30,000 Citizens to government parties attempting to raise funds to mailshot every Citizen within Scotland costing an estimated 750,000.

  4. Consuming • This issue will have a greater impact on the economy and many other resources as if Scotland did become independent what would what now mean for those Scottish living within England and wales ? Would they be granted duel citizenship and who would decide who's Scottish and who's British ? • This whole idea of identity would be brought more foreword with those wanting to be scene as entirely Scottish citizen, furthermore in regards to resources of the nation it would take many years to draw apart the military and current relationships already outstanding. So as a statement they will have their own identity as a independent nation but how will this impact them as a whole in the future will they still stand as a strong counterpart or struggle with its own ideology's ?

  5. Points to consider • Economy • Job loses and gains • Stronger tourism attraction • Londons placement in regards to Scottish businesses
