Workforce Professionals Credential • 20 individuals accepted through a competitive application process • Attend 11 days of training, which address all of FFTI’s core competencies • 1 day of training per month July 2019 to May 2020 • Receive Workforce Professionals Credential Certification on June 4, 2020

Trainings Included • Intro to the Workforce Development System • Recruitment & Enrollment of Job Seekers • Intro to Coaching • Understanding Labor Market Information & Other Online Tools; Making Referrals to Supportive Services • Employer Pitch Clinic; Advocacy 101 • Cultural Competency • Retention in Your Program; Mid-Point Review; Capstone Reveal • Making the Right Employment Match • Engaging & Deepening Business Relationships • Using Data to Improve Your Programming • Creating a Positive & Value-Based Workforce Development Culture

Credential Features • Networking: create partnerships with colleagues committed to the work • Cohort Learning: benefit from an intensive small group learning environment • Mentoring: receive coaching and support from a seasoned workforce leader • Capstone Project: develop solutions for pressing workforce challenges • Graduation Event: graduate with your Workforce Professionals Credential at a celebration event on June 4, 2020

Applicant Commitment • Attend all 10 training sessions • Additional time outside of training time to: • Work on a capstone project (5 hours) • Meet with their mentor (5 hours) • Personal growth and career advancement • Improve your organization’s services and programming • Collaboration and peer sharing

Organizational Commitment • Provide applicant time to attend all trainings and work on additional projects • Submit quantitative and qualitative program data to support an impact evaluation analysis • Support applicant in sharing what they learned and making improvements at the organization • Attend the graduation ceremony June 4, 2020 • Pay for the training

  12. Cost • $1,000 CJC members • $1,500 non-members • Become a member at www.cjc.net/membership • Payment Schedule: ½ due July 2019 and ½ due December 2019 • Scholarship opportunities are available. Requests for support must be emailed to Cheryl Hester at cheryl@cjc.net.

  13. Application Process • Submit your application at bit.ly/WPC_classof2020 • Use the “Attach Cover Letter” function. • Application Deadline: Monday, June 10, 2019. • Applicants will be notified of our decision by the end of June. • First course is July 25, 2019.
