  4. The Mission — 2010-2025 The Campus Master Plans will identify the activities necessary to provide space for expansion to accommodate growth and to permit sequenced renovation projects in existing facilities to improve their suitability for current and future functions.

Scope of Work & Process • Existing Campus and Document Review • E-Manual • Published ACC standards on the secure ACC website • Based on program developed for Round Rock Campus • Demographic Study • Trends in ACC population and District enrollment • Programming • Campus capacities • Distribution of academic programs • Non-academic activities • Recommendations for growth • Utilization of classrooms and laboratories

Goals of the E-Manual • Indicate guiding principles to be considered in design. • Illustrate functional needs of classrooms, laboratories, and offices including space standards and test fits. • Set performance targets and guidelines. • Provide strategies for: accessibility, sustainability, site planning, site access, utilities, HVAC, and electrical.

Austin Community College Utilization: Space Available: (Based on the average (Based on Fall, 2009) of all scheduled classes) Northridge Campus 47.1 hrs/wk 15 GSF/Student (7) Riverside Campus 39.4 hrs/wk 27 GSF/Student (3) Cypress Creek Campus 38.0 hrs/wk 22 GSF/Student (4) South Austin Campus 37.6 hrs/wk 22 GSF/Student (4) Rio Grande Campus 36.2 hrs/wk 22 GSF/Student (4) Pinnacle Campus 26.6 hrs/wk 30 GSF/Student (2) Eastview Campus 22.5 hrs/wk 59 GSF/Student (1)* * Includes the Child Development Lab and Nursing labs which have lower densities. 50 GSF per student is the minimum recommended in the current Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board guidelines.

  12. Northridge Campus Weekly Target is 39 hrs/week. Current Average is 47.1 in scheduled rooms. (Including non-scheduled rooms, the average is 37) 15
