Henry Johannes Grindheim Born in Kristiansand, Norway 25.March 1947 Living in Asker, Norway Married, two sons and one daughter Educated in Economy at NHH, Bergen, Norway Member of Østenstad Y’s Men’s Club, Asker, since October 1991 CP (1994-95),RT (1998-99), AT (2002-2005),DG (2005-2006), RD Norway (2008-09), AS (2010-12), ASD Mentor Russia (2009-), ICM,(2012-15), APE (2012-13)

  3. Challenges and priorities 3 I. To be a visible and dedicated leader for Y’s Men in Europe and in YMI. II To continue the good mutual work with IPAP Olga & APE Carl and with all members of board and club members III To popularize the questions, decisions and solutions presented at ACM & ICM for all regions within our Area

  4. Working plan • Planning my participating in as many International, Area, Regional conferences and my local club meetings as possible during my term as AP. • To take care of and develop the RDE’s in Area Europe through the internet, e-mails and through personal communication. • Put focus upon active use of the Area Europe Website. • Try to find new ways to make our wonderful movement more attractive to younger people.

Working plan • Work for extension in all regions. • To strengthen the local work in existing clubs. • To implement the Forward Plan &Towards 2022 plan on all levels. • To strengthen and put focus upon Christian Emphasis in regions and clubs. • Start follow up work from the successful CE seminar in Riga, Latvia in April 2013. Next CE meeting takes place in 2015. • To keep Area Europe updated upon the ongoing work in IC.

  6. Working Towards 2022 To stimulate the clubs to give service to YMCA and the community (CS) Focus on “Become a Friend of YMCA Europe” To encourage Y’s Men at all levels to involve themselves in International, Area, Regional & also local projects.

  7. Stimulate regions to contribute and participate to International projects such as: • Time of Fast (TOF)-Global Project • Brotherhood Fund (BF) • Alexander Scholarship Fund (ASF) • Endowment Fund (EF) • YES Program • Roll Back Malaria • Local Region Projects

  8. Goals for my term: Increase and maintain membership figures in all regions within Area Europe. Goal: 300 new Y’s Men in Area Europe in my term as AP 20 new clubs Implement the use of the “Idea Bank”
