HELP PROGRAM • 523,473 “assists” since July 1999 • Changed 71,558 tires • Provided fuel 47,899 times • Tagged 85,755 abandoned vehicles • Removed debris 39,992 times • Provided traffic control 162,116 times • Provided first aid to 3,283 people • Relocated vehicles from travel lanes 34,398 times Nashville Knoxville Memphis Chattanooga

Chattanooga Region • Regional Architecture complete • Early Deployment CCTV Project under construction. 64 cameras covering 50 miles of freeway • Leased communication to HELP dispatch location • Construction began Summer 2005; completion October 2006 • Future project adds detection, DMS and new TMC

  18. Memphis Early Deployment Project • Focused around the I-40 and I-55 Mississippi River Bridges (116,000 ADT) • Includes 25 CCTV Cameras and 3 DMS • Communications is all digital microwave wireless • Construction began August 2004 • Construction Complete: June 11, 2005

  19. Memphis Smartway Project • Dynamic Message Signs • 39 additional for total of 42 • CCTV Cameras • 90 additional for total of 115 • Detectors • 354 detectors, mostly radar with some video • Highway Advisory Radio • Full coverage, approx. 16 units with 42 HAR Signs • Completion: April 2008
