    2. 2 Kaksisuuntainen mielialahiri (Ent. maanis-depressiivinen mielisairaus) (Engl. bipolar disorder) Kaksisuuntaisuus: Selvsti havaittavia poikkeavan mielialan jaksoja Osassa jaksoja mieliala on poikkeuksellisen matala (depressio), osassa poikkeuksellisen korkea tai kiihtynyt (mania tai hypomania) Tyypillisesti mania- ja masennusjaksot vuorottelevat Hiri: Tilasta aiheutuu huomattavaa krsimyst ja/tai huomattavaa haittaa henkiln toimintakyvylle.
