Supporting disabled students to promote themselves ‘Essential/desirable Skills’ for disabled students • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to liaise/negotiate with academic staff • An understanding of academic practice in HE • Prepared to work flexible hours including some evening and weekend work ( more than non disabled students

  4. Exercise You are giving a presentation to local employers and you want to cover the issue of disabled students/employees. In small groups discuss what you would say on this subject in a 20 minute presentation to the invited employers.
