  2. PAPARUDA- RUDA • Paparuda is a magic ritual for tie and untie the rain . The paparuda ritual is celebrate in the 3 rd week after Easter, in the 3 rd day after the Rusalii celebration and every time is drought in June or July.

  3. PAPARUDA • Paparuda is the most spread name of the magic ritual for the rain call. The paparuda game may be play in every drought summer. It’s played by the young girls under the 14 years old dressed in leafs and grass clothes.

  4. PAPARUDA • Because the Dobrogea region is a drought land , this ritual is played frequent. • The paparuda tradition invoke the rain by song, dances, slapping and drum beating improvised of pans.

  5. PAPARUDA The song content is: Paparuda-ruda To start the rains, Come to damp us, To flow the streams, With the bucket To fill up the brooks All over the group Come, little rain,come! With the tub, tub, Damp the lands, All over the people. To grow up the wheats God, give us the keys Big as the maizes To open the skys, Come, little rain, come!

  6. PAPARUDA • In the game time and after it must wet with water the paparuda and all the people wich indicate abundance . • After this moment the paparudago to the river where in undressed and throw the leaf clothes in water.
