WP2 Dissemination and Communication Future Work • Planning of Events to be organized by the Consortium in 2005 and 2006 • Quarterly e-newsletters • Gateway (update and mapping) • Keep track of the dissemination events (updates in database) • Update press releases (MBS) • In response to ATR recommendations: • Fill the spreadsheet “Progress Indicators”. • Develop an outreach plan. • Review key messages in harmony with the outreach plan. • Pilot Infobiomed RSS feed. (Really Simple Syndication is a lightweight XML format designed for sharing headlines and other Web content. )

WP2 Dissemination and Communication Response to ATR Recommendations • Develop an outreach plan to ensure that future results will target important audiences, like clinicians, regulatory authorities and public. • Consortium integration and collaboration needs to be measurable. • Multilingual approach to thesaurus. • Links with Biopattern and Semanticmining. • Working definition of Biomedicine.

WP2 Dissemination and Communication RSS (Really Simple Syndication): an idea • RSS is a format for syndicating news and the content of news sites. • Our approach: Infobiomed RSS • News sources: • Genetic: Bioinformatics. • Clinic: BaRf, stands for "Bioinformatics aggregated RSS feeds". It provides RSS feeds of titles and abstracts of the most recent papers published by journals that may be of relevance for people involved in Bioinformatics. • Another URL?
