  1. LOST IN LONDON An English Story By Josefina Camacho Cutillas (Based on the work made by Take Off Theatre Company)

  2. This girl is Carmen.

  3. Carmen lives in Spain. • She is a Spanish girl.

  4. She is not good with English. • Her parents send her to study English in London.

  5. At the airport in London, she can’t communicate with anyone.

  6. At the bus stop , she finds a nice lady, but she tells her that the bus has left already!

  7. She tries to phone home and explain her trouble to her parents. • But she realizes that she swapped suitcases with the lady.

  8. Carmen manages to explain to a policeman what has happened.

  9. The policeman only gives her a paper to fill in.

  10. She meets a punk girl who tells her to search the lady’s suitcase for clues.

  11. They find: • Three hats • A dog collar • And a telephone number

  12. The number belongs to the MI:6, the secret police

  13. The punk girl gets scared and runs away, leaving Carmen alone again.

  14. Following the clues, Carmen finds the maker of the hats.

  15. The hatter tells her that the lady is a regular costumer of his, and she has a dog.

  16. MARGARET HELLEN She gives Carmen a vet’s address, but he also says that the lady’s name is not Margaret, but Hellen.

  17. VETERINARIAN • At the vet’s is the lady’s dog.

  18. The vet says that the woman’s name is... • Neither Margaret • nor Hellen • but Rachel

  19. With the dog’s help, Carmen walks through the streets in London. She visits:...

  20. St. Paul’s Cathedral

  21. The Tower Bridge

  22. The Tower of London

  23. The Houses of Parliament

  24. Carmen comes at last to the place where the mysterious lady lives.

  25. It seems to be Buckingham Palace

  26. And the lady is Elisabeth II - THE QUEEN

  27. Ten months later she won a prize in English
