Do we measure him on his direct achievements eg 250,000 people taking part in the March on Washington or the segregation on the Montgomery busses becoming illegal. Or do we measure him upon his indirect achievements such as inspiring others, unifying the civil rights movement? Try to consider; what did you know about MLK before we studied the topic? Did you know he was a great and inspirational speaker or did you know that he was the leader of the SCLC and the MIA? What does this tell you about his greatest impact?
