Growth Patterns of Compatible Pollen Tubes in Silks with Crossing Barriers

This study examines the growth patterns and morphology of compatible pollen tubes in silks with crossing barriers. Plants with crossing barriers Tcb1-s, Ga1-s, and Ga2-s were self-pollinated. The compatible tubes grow in the silks of these genotypes similarly to tcb1 ga1 ga2 pollen tubes in compatible tcb1 ga1 ga2 silks.

Plants of each crossing barrier type, Tcb1-s, Ga1-s, and Ga2-s, were self-pollinated. For all three types, compatible tubes grow in the silks of these genotypes in the same manner as tcb1 ga1 ga2 pollen tubes grow in compatible tcb1 ga1 ga2 silks.
