  3. Focus for Ministry???? • Evangelism ….reaching out rather than reaching in? • Focus Upward – Worship & Prayer • Growing Within – focus on fellowship by building a loving, sharing community

  4. Which Should it Be? • Spiritual Growth • Fellowship Growth • Conversion Growth

  5. The Great Commandment • “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength. The second is this: Love your neighbor as yourself.”Mark 12:30-31 • Ministry, Prayer, Adoration and Caring

  6. Great Commission • “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you…” Matthew 28:19-20 • Instruction, Telling Others

  7. My Prayer….We Will Grow • Up through Adoration and Prayer • In by Caring and Mobilizing for Ministry • Out by Instructing and Telling Others about Jesus

Who Makes an Impact? • Not Super Stars…Not Saintly Figures in Stained Glass Windows • Ordinary People with the same weakness and shortcomings as you and I • I Chronicles 16:9 “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.” • The KEY = Devotion

  9. Devotion • “to give one’s self continually….to be steadfastly attentive unto.” • Ruth 1:18 • Luke 10:51 • Depth of devotion determines level of impact • An unwavering commitment to be sold out to Christ and His work
