The Texas Financial Group The goal of our internship program is to provide students with an experience in which they can grow personally, learn valuable business skills and test-drive a financial services career. EXPECTATIONS Be full-time Financial Representatives (40 hours per week during the summer & 20 hours during the semesters). Attend weekly Team meetings. Meet weekly with your RACE Coach. Attend the Annual Meeting in Milwaukee, WI. Complete a review of the Internship Program. .

    5. Internship Program Meetings Intern Sales School June 8th – 11th Sales School is designed to give you the knowledge, skills and confidence to begin to work in the business world. It will help you get off to a fast start. Weekly Meetings Fridays 8 – 9 a.m. Attendance at these meetings is mandatory and necessary to help build your skills and keep you goal-focused. You will report your numbers from the past week and there will be an education component based ClientBuilding Principles. RACE Meetings Meeting with your RACE Coach to review your activity and discuss any issues. Please be prepared with your calendar and activity numbers. One-on-One Meetings Meet with your CUD/FD for personal coaching and mentoring sessions. See your CUD/FD to schedule times. Annual Meetings This summer you will have the opportunity to attend Northwestern Mutual’s Annual Meeting in Milwaukee. At this meeting you will be able to meet other reps. and interns from across the country as well as hear from some of the best motivation speakers and some of our top producers.

    6. Internship Attendance Policy The Attendance Policy is based on a point system. You are allowed 3 points. When your point total exceeds 3, your internship will terminate. POINT SYSTEM Missed Team Meeting = 1 point Late for Weekly Meeting = ½ point Absent/ Late for RACE Meeting = ½ point ** Please look over the calendar and notify your CUD or FD at the first Monday meeting following training if you have any prior commitments that will interfere with your attendance.

    7. Internship Stipend Programs Development Stipend Provides an incentive of up to $1000 to learn about the business, develop sales skills and engage in training activities by attending weekly Monday meetings. You are able to earn $100 for your attendance per meeting up to the maximum of $1,000. Productivity Stipend This is based on the number of lives written and submitted during the program. Interns earn a $500 stipend for writing and submitting 5 lives and an additional $500 stipend for writing and submitting another 5 lives – for a total of $1,000 for 10 lives.

    8. Internship Program Contests Power of 10 When you write and pay for 10 lives you will receive the Power of 10 Award with these benefits: letter of recognition from CEO Ed Zore, 1 year subscription to Young Money Magazine, College Awards Show recognition & Power of 10 ribbon at Annual Meeting Target 20 When you write and pay for 20+ lives you earn the benefits of Power of 10 plus: Annual Meeting invitation-only luncheon and Target 20 ribbon.
