This study focuses on Caloplaca ferruginea, a species documented on the trunk of an ash tree at Roche-Château in Messigny-et-Vantoux on December 3, 2013. Notably, this nitrogen-sensitive lichen features polariloculate spores measuring 5 µm in thickness. The observation collects morphological data including apothecia characteristics and spore behavior, contributing to the understanding of its ecological preferences and distribution within Teloschistaceae, Teloschistales, and Lecanoromycetes.
