  3. Why Take Cornell Notes? • Can easily be used as a test study guide • Helps in the understanding and processing of information • Increases critical thinking skills • Standard format used by law schools • Developed 1949 by William Pauk(Cornell University), frustrated by student test scores

  5. Questioning (done in left 1/3) • Created after taking notes • There are 3 different levels of questioning that you will be asked to do • EASY: Level 1: Basic Input / Gathering Information • MEDIUM: Level 2: Processing Information • Hard: Level 3: Creating your own ideas
