The length of time that He was in the grave was the only sign He gave to prove He was the Messiah. The resurrection of Jesus Christ made immortality possible for mortal human beings. After His resurrection, Christ ascended into heaven, where He now sits at the right hand of God the Father as our High Priest, elder Brother and Advocate with the Father.

Fundamental Beliefs of the Church of God Let’s do the math… 69 weeks (69 x 7) = 483 yrs Decree of Artaxerxes - 457 BC 26 AD (no year zero) + 1 27 AD Christ is baptized and begins His ministry at the age of 30. This was the fall of 27 AD. After 3 ½ years of ministry He was crucified on Passover in 31 AD.

Fundamental Beliefs of the Church of God Evidence for 31 AD… • Christ appears and is baptized in the fall of 27 AD at the age of 30 (Luke 3:23). • Four Passovers are recorded in His ministry – 28; 29; 30; and 31 AD.
