Exploring the Impact of 3D Public Art as a Political Statement

This project aims to create an engaging public art piece that merges visual appeal and political commentary. Utilizing Photoshop and Illustrator, the objective is to design a 3D mural that challenges viewers and encourages interaction within its environment. By exploring themes of awareness and meaning, the artwork will serve to expose the local community to new concepts and foster appreciation for public art. Inspired by influential artists and contemporary issues, the piece will be strategically placed to maximize visibility and impact.

  2. Public Art • Idea of tagging • Idea of 3d murals • Idea of Political statement sin Public • Idea: For this project I want to create a public art piece. I am unsure of my direction. Either visually appealing or more political. I want to expose the people in the location to a new concept. I want to make a 3d piece through photoshop using illustrator as well to create a 3d version of my own designs onto a wall. I need to really think of the purpose and then I can decide on the location. For my final project I will be touching on a few things I feel were important through out the class: photoshop & illustrator skills, montage (idea of over lapping and collage), meaning within the piece, awareness of the environment. I feel like a public art piece would be a good next step to this course.
