The Transcontinental Railroad • It went from Omaha, Nebraska all the way to Sacramento, California. • President Lincoln was a supporter for the transcontinental railroad. • The workers were paid for every mile each. • They were having trouble for letting Native Americans being workers. • The chief of the Native Americans said that they are scaring the buffalos away. • So they hired Chinese people to do the job by exploding caves with dynamites and help them build the track. • They builds the railroads over the mountains. • They were finish on the railroad in b1867.

The Gold Rush • Gold miners found gold in California. • The gold was also found in Denver, Colorado. • People think that if there is gold in Denver, there might be in somewhere else too. • They went to find gold to get be very rich. • Some people shuffle in dirt because there was gold flakes too.
