  2. What is a Stingray Stingray is next generation cell phone tracking systems that can be used to locate any persons cell phone in it’s range even if the cell phone is not being used

  3. How does it work Stingrays works by tricking your cell phone into thinking that it is a cell phone tower, and when the phone connects to it the system can measure the signal strength as well as gather other information.

  5. Stingrays have many ways they can be used to find a specific persons phone, it can either be used by hand, attached to a car, or even placed on an unmanned aerial vehicle.

  6. Who uses the Stingray Currently Stingrays is only being used by the highest of law enforcement agencies, such as the FBI, they do have a policy to delete any data collected with it almost immediately.

  7. Is this legal? The FBI says it always gets the proper warrants before using these types device but is this really illegal? The 4th amendment which safeguards us from unlawful search and seizers but it was written before the digital age.
