  5. Public Response to Warnings • Do we know why people respond or don’t to warnings? Who responds…who doesn’t? • Are our messages uniform? (are you sure?) • Are we providing our products (information) in a format people want? • Do we act as a team, or as a group of individuals, each with our own jurisdiction/responsibilities?

The Integrated Warning Team • Who makes up the team? • EM community • Broadcast Media • NWS • What does it mean to be on a team? • Have you consciously thought of yourself as part of a team larger than your organization? Why are we here? • We’ve got make sure we view ourselves as part of the team • We’ve got to better understand what makes people tick with respect to preparing for and responding to severe weather • We’ve got to examine how our team operates and look for ways to improve it Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed people can change the world.
