BEAUTIFUL BEACHES The heart of tourism in Murcia is located in La Manga del Mar Menor, Cabo de Palos and its beaches, but it is noteworthy that Cartagena also has several other beaches with no less charm, and delight those who they attend. South of town, about a half hour away is Isla Plana and La Azohia, small hamlets that have a spectacular natural landscape and are a truly unique and different from the north, where the mass can be constant. There are also steep areas where access may be more difficult, however, are excellent locations to enjoy a bath. Little by little, we went to Cartagena, Murcia, and we see more and better beaches, and more diverse, moving from urban to isolated within a few kilometers. LA MANGA DEL MAR MENOR

  3. MEDITERRANEA FOOD Cartagena's cuisine is based on offering products such as sea bream, grouper, dentex or mullet, all these fish are prepared mainly grilled or roasted in salt. The fish dish is the pot. But also the products of the orchad are very important in the cuisine of this town, peas, tomatoes, artichokes and beans.   4. CARTHAGINIAN AND ROMAN HOLIDAYS Carthaginian and Roman Holidays. These recently created holidays take place in the last fortnight of September and consists in the recreation of the history of the city in the period between its foundation by Asdrúbal in 227 B.C. and its conquest by the Roman, Publio Cornelio Escipión in 209 B.C. Within the varied programme of acts, the opening speech and the presentation of the troops and legions of the Quart-Hadast foundation, the declaration of war to the Romans, the Departure of Anibal to Italy, the Roman disembarkment in the city, the take and surrender of the city and specifically the wedding of Aníbal and Himilce and the Roman Circus stand out. All the days the components of the Roman Legions or the Carthaginian troops march through the streets depending on which organization the cats of the day correspond to, finalizing with a great joint parade in the second t last day of the holidays. One of the most popular aspects of the Carthaginians and Romans is the festival camp or enclosure where each troop or legion has its house installed, decorated in the style or the period and where it is possible to try the products of the land or dance till late hours of the night with the most current musical rhythms.
