  1. Why would you want to come to the library? • It is the place to be • You never know who you might meet • But…. Don’t use your cell phone or whatever you currently have!

  2. When is the library open? • 7:00 A. M. • 3:20 P. M. • Come before or after school • We are here to help you

  3. How do I get to use the library? • Come with your class • Have a pass from your teacher • Lunch: • Come during the first 10 minutes • Finish and go to lunch

  4. Why do I need to sign in? • Be sure to sign the notebook and time clock your pass when you come and leave • This is the only verification that you were here • Teachers do check

  5. What do you need to check out materials? • Your student I D • Your student ID • Your student I D • What????? • Your student I D

  6. How long can you keep materials? • Check out is for 3 weeks • Can renew twice • Don’t need book to renew • Just need yourself • Fines are 10 cents a day

  7. Why you might beep!!!!!!! • The library has a great security system • Books must be desensitized • JCPL books, videos, CDs, calculators, etc. all might cause you to beep

  8. What not to bring to the library • Food • Drink Computers/books don’t need either of these things In the winter we have cute little mice !!!!!

  9. Five minute countdown • If you have a pass you must leave before the last 5 minutes of class • You need to be seated until the bell rings • Please push in chairs and clean up ---- be your Mom

  10. Get caught @ the library • Enter contests • Come to Cappuccino Day • Recommend books • Use the copy machine • Get a bookmark • Get your work done
