New Frontend Baseline Update from ASTeC - December 2012

On December 18, 2012, Chris Rogers from the Accelerator Science and Technology Centre (ASTeC) released a new lattice as part of the muon frontend project. The new version can be accessed at http://hepunx.rl.ac.uk/uknf/wp1/idsfrontend/Beams_and_Lattices/FrontEnd_v2.0. It includes version control implemented in bzr, available from Launchpad. Simulations using the beam from Diktys were conducted, but the rate normalization remains unclear. Future runs will be executed using beam-v2 with updates to ICOOL 3.20 and G4BL 2.06, and results will be uploaded.

  1. New Frontend Baseline Chris Rogers Accelerator Science and Technology Centre (ASTeC) Rutherford Appleton Laboratory 18 Dec 2012

  2. New Baseline • As discussed last time, I have now released a new lattice • http://hepunx.rl.ac.uk/uknf/wp1/idsfrontend/Beams_and_Lattices/FrontEnd_v2.0 • Version control is implemented in bzr, available from as muon-front-end project • https://launchpad.net/muon-front-end

  3. Ecal9f output • I ran simulation using beam from Diktys • Don't know what the rate normalisation is • Would like to rerun with e.g. beam-v2 • Still using ICOOL 3.20 and G4BL 2.06 • Will upload once I rerun with new files
