Political activities • EU-wide lobby action on the European Citizens’ Initiative Regulation : • One press release published on www.citizens-initiative.euand an open letter published on www.Euractiv.com • 2 templates letters to be sent to MEPs and Governments • Presence and lobby at the Greens, ALDE and GUE hearings in the EP and participation in several debates on ECI • Promotion of the Federalist manifesto together with PC1
Political activities • New Position Paper: Contribution to EC green paper on EU citizens’rights and presence in two conferences in Brussels about EU active citizenship and citizens’ rights. • Issuing 7 Press Releases (cf. next page) • Regular contacts with PCs, participation in Bologna meeting and contribution to resolutions submitted for Malta FC • Coordination of the TNF Editorial Meeting in Paris, writing of articles and translations for the TNF.
Media • Writing of an Handbook on Press releases • 7 Press releases on: • A joint UEF-JEF press statement on the 60th Anniversary of the Schuman Declaration • the international day against homophobia • the European electoral lists - with input from WG Project Development - together with UEF President Andrew Duff, FEYG and LYMEC • the creation of the Spinelli Group in the EP • the Gallo Report • mobility across the borders of the EU • Tear down the visa wall! • Lots of press coverage on radio and television thanks to our NO VISA action during Balkan Training Days • Interview on minority rights @ China Radio International
External communication • Meeting with the Prime Minister of Albania in his office and present him the Declaration visa liberalization during @ Balkans Training Days • Regular contacts and participation in meetings of UEF and EMI • Submitting a resolution for UEF FC (end Oct) • Contacts with Madariaga/College of Europe and Leopold Mayer Foundations
External communication • Involvement within European Youth Forum and regular contacts with PPYO’s • Submission of Peter Matjasic’s candidature for the position of President of the European Youth Forum in view of the elections at their GA in November. • Participation in youth events • Contribution to a research project from a student at LSE about the development of a European public sphere and JEF’s role in this.
Internal communication • Updating of the info-pool and writing of a fundraising toolkit together with WG Growth • 1-pager on Communicationwithin JEF • Continuously updating of the Who is Who list • Regular contacts with sections according to geographical responsabilities • Regular contacts with WGs
Projects • Coordination of the organisation of Malta conference and seminar together with JEF Malta • Submission of a 3.1. Youth for Change application called ‘[ex]change’, taking place in Ukraine in February 2011(approved by the EC) • Submission of the application for Youth in Action programme 4.5“Tune in Europe “ (pending) • Submission with the cooperation of JEF-Finland of an application at the youth foundation of the Council of Europe to organise the international seminar in autumn 2011 in Helsinki (pending)
Organisational activities • 2 EB meetings (short reports sent to FC list the day after) and monthly Skype meetings • Monthly Overview Mails, summarising all work in JEF-Europe • Finalisation of the “JEF Europe Work Plan 2010-2011” on the basis of the feedback from Bratislava FC • Coordination of EuropeDay activities and of the No Visa action together with WG PD • Handover between Secretary Generals • Financial management : • Applications submitted to EC and CoE • Europe@myDesk closing • External audit
