  2. Abstain • verb (used without object) • to hold oneself back voluntarily, especially from something regarded as improper or unhealthy (usually followed by from ): to abstain from eating meat.

  3. Discrepancy • Noun • an instance of difference or inconsistency: There are certain discrepancies between the two versions of the story.

  4. Accommodation • noun • the act of accommodating; state or process of being accommodated; adaptation. • adjustment of differences; reconciliation.

  5. Fidelity • noun • strict observance of promises, duties, etc.: a servant's fidelity.

  6. Acrimony • noun • sharpness, harshness, or bitterness of nature, speech, disposition, etc.: The speaker attacked him with great acrimony.

  7. Gratuitous • adjective • given, done, bestowed, or obtained without charge or payment; free; voluntary.

  8. Adamant • adjective • utterly unyielding in attitude or opinion in spite of all appeals, urgings, etc.
