  4. ANSWER: Gregor remember his mom saying “stay together” so he takes Boots along. THINK ABOUT IT What are the pros and cons of taking Boots? What would Gregor’s mom advise?

  5. Journaling prompts List Gregor's personality traits. Which do you find most admirable? Why? How are you like Gregor? Unlike? Choose another character in the book and compare and contrast either yourself or Gregor and this character using a Venn Diagram

Could anything have prevented their deaths? Can any prophecy be changed? How does (if at all) self-fulfilling prophecy apply? Many stories focus on leaving home and finding your way back (The Odyssey). Gregor‘s goal was to get back home to his family as was his father’s. What does home mean to Gregor and his father? What does it mean to the Underlanders? What does it mean to you?
