STATE OF OKLAHOMA 2013 DRUG OVERDOSE DEATHS INVOLVING THE TOP 8 ABUSED DRUGS The majority of all drug overdose deaths are due to a combination “cocktail” of drugs rather than just one specific drug.   8. 2013 NON FATAL DRUG OVERDOSES BY COUNTY Majority of the drug overdoses involved pharmaceutical drugs-with most abused being “Opiates” such as hydrocodone, oxycodone, morphine, and fentanyl. Some overdoses are “cocktails” and involve both street drug as well as pharmaceuticals. This year 154 involved marijuana, 73-cocaine, 136-methamphetamine, 47-heroin, 1-ecstasy and 19-PCP. Intoxicating Effects • Similar to Marijuana: lowered blood pressure, impairment of psychomotor coordination, concentration, short-term memory, psychotic episodes. • Duration: initial effects 20-30 min, high reportedly last 8-12 hours. • Some of these are 100 to 800 times more potent than THC.

  19. Physical and Mental Effects • Hallucinations • Cardiac effects • Seizures • Rapid heart rate • Hypertension • Severe agitation • Passing out • Panic attacks

Cannabis concentrate (THC) approaching 70-90% $70.00 to $100.00 per gram in Colorado as opposed to “Killer Buds” which run $15.00 to $20.00 per gram. Problems occur in manufacture and user over-dose.
