  2. Introduction • Great white shark • Fish is its species • Can grow up to 20 feet 16 meters • Endangered in many places like India and Japan • A great white shark lives for 25 years

  3. Reproduction • Female great white sharks give birth to between two and ten pups at a time • The pups grow on their own

  4. Habitat • Great white sharks live in oceans. • Found mostly in cold water. • Swim along shore to find food • Live in the Pacific Ocean and the Indian Ocean • Live near the beach which is why they get surfers

  5. Food • Great white sharks eat seals, sea lions, dolphins and whales • Carnivores - that means that they only eat meat • Their predator is a killer whale

  6. Behavior • Great white sharks are carnivores, that means they only eat meat • Can’t swim backwards • They need gills to survive in the water • Don’t always eat the human - they take a bite and then spit them out

PhysicalAdaptations • A great white shark has white under sides so they can blend in with the sand • They have gray backs so the fish think its sun light and they swim right through • Uses it’s tale to swim in the water • Have gills to help them survive • Really good noses so they can smell blood from more then a mile away

  8. Physiological adaptations • A great white has bones to help it move and so his body doesn’t fall apart • Great whites tail is made out of cartilage like a human ear • His tale doesn’t have any bones • are cold blooded so they can survive in cold water

  9. Behavioral Adaptations • Can jump out of the water more then seven feet high that helps them survive because if they didn’t jump out of the water they wouldn’t have as much food as they’re suppose to have • They surprise attack prey so the fish don’t swim away as soon as they see it

  10. Fun facts • Great white sharks have more then three thousand teeth • Great white sharks are also called white sharks • Great whites are the largest hunting fish in the world
