  2. 2011 ATEME wins Red Herring’s Top 100 Global Award Red Herring Global is the culmination of a year’s work of scoring thousands of privately held companies from around the world. The pool of candidates for the Award includes the top contenders from the Regional competitions in Europe, North America, and Asia. Finalists were evaluated on both quantitative and qualitative criteria, such as financial performance, technology innovation, execution of strategy, and penetration into their respective industries. Former Red Herring winners include Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo, Skype, Salesforce.com, YouTube and Ebay. “We are 100% committed to innovation for the benefit of our clients, irrespective of global market conditions.   4. 2011 ATEME advances to second place in worldwide production video transcoding market Frost & Sullivan have ranked ATEME in second place in the Production Video Transcoding market in their most recent 2011 World Video Transcoder Market Report (N975-70). This latest Frost & Sullivan report shows ATEME’s current market share at 11% of the total production video transcoding segment revenue. In the report, Frost & Sullivan also mentions, “ATEME has been gaining market share rapidly on the strength of its products which are used extensively for creating VOD libraries in high quality.” KFE

  5. 2011 ODmedia taps ATEME TITAN KFE for multi-platform content production ODmedia and ATEME announced today their continued relationship and the recent upgrade of the ODmedia facilities with the latest KFE release. This enterprise-grade encoding software enables ODmedia to further expand its network of over 100 operators it delivers video content to. Tim Koeleman, CTO of ODmedia, commented "ATEME’s KFE is an essential part of our architecture and helps us to transcode content completely on-spec with a very high-quality result.   6. 2011 ATEME announces Amazon EC2 Cloud Interoperability and Offering with the KFE File Transcoding Product ATEME announced that the award-winning KFE file-transcoding product has been tested for interoperability within the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). In addition, the ATEME KFE software can now be installed and licensed directly by our customers for use with the Amazon EC2 cloud in conjunction with the ATEME cloud-install application guide and easy-to-use command line install application. Today’s announcement builds on nearly two years of successful joint deployments for the world largest Video On Demand services in Americas, Europe and Asia By combining ISILON IQ Series scale out NAS storage and ATEME’s TITAN transcoding platform, service operators benefit from an increased throughput. The partnership dramatically simplifies the operational challenges of multi-screen transcoding workflows. Installed in a matter of hours, the solution scales out linearly with the expansion of the content catalogue, the migration to HD, or as new output formats are added to support more viewing devices.

The first solution will be delivered to the content division of a major French Telco and will manage all non linear content production. Kyrion File Encoder 2.0 improves upon ATEME's renowned video encoding solution, allowing BT Vision to significantly improve visual quality without using additional bandwidth.
