  1. Some More About TED… TED is short for Technology/Education/Design. It is famous for its website, full of short 10-20 minute lectures, known as “TED Talks.” These talks focus on technology, entertainment, design, and have recently expanded into to the areas of science, arts, politics, education, culture, business, technology, and global issues. Speakers are usually experts in their fields, and have included but are not limited to former president Bill Clinton, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, zoologist Jane Goodall, and UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Our class has been watching TED talks weekly throughout the school year, and tonight we bring you our own “ideas worth spreading.” We hope you learn something interesting and new!   2. Thank you so much for coming to share this special night with our class. We have worked very hard to complete this project, and hope that it was an enjoyable experience for everyone involved. Our Student Interest Fair will be taking place next Thursday from 6:30-8pm, if you’re interested in seeing more of what these fantastic, creative students have to offer!
