  1. Francisco De Goya y Lucientes By Juliana Rodriguez 7th period

  2. Early Years • Francisco was born on March 30th, 1746, in Fuendetodos, Spain. • Francisco began to study art at the age of fourteen and continued to travel around the world to advance his skills.

  3. From 1775 to 1792, he worked for The Royal Tapestry Factory, where he designed a series of tapestry cartoons. El cacharrero Blind Mans’ Bluff

  4. Later in life • Goya began his artwork by copying the works of true artists. • Through a German artist, he began to create works for Spain’s royal family. • In 1779, Goya was appointed the painter of the royal court.

  5. He was the precursor of many styles like Romanticism, Realism, Impressionism, and war photography. • When he was younger he painted of more joy-full things. • When he became deaf, he started painting the deep emotions that came with the Peninsular War.

  6. His Death • The last paintings he made were a series called Follies. • These paintings were his final outlook on humanity and his fear of going insane. • Francisco De Goya died on April, 16th, 1828.

  9. Perspective • I think Francisco De Goya has some brilliant pieces. My favorite piece is called The Vintage. • It portrays a light elegant feeling. Like a picnic on a warm day. Goya is considered one of the top twenty best artists ever lived
