  2. Question Does nail polish last longer on a female’s finger nails, or a males finger nail’s?

  3. Procedures Paint all finger nails hot pink with same the brand nail polish. Have an even amount of male and female participants. Continue with normal life activities. Wear for 4 days. (Refer to reference A) Record amount of wear and chipping. (Refer to reference B) Remove nail polish. A. Nail Chewing Finger Sucking Peeling of Nail Polish Touch-Ups Clear Coat B. Divide nails into four sections Find percentage of chipping of each nail visually (do for all nails) Find average chipping percent for both hands and then for each gender.

Results CarlyDavid Left Hand: 0.65% chipped Left Hand: 8.25% chipped Right Hand: 2.85% chipped Right Hand: 0.55% chipped McKaylaCole Left Hand: 16.79% chipped Left Hand: 36.56% chipped Right Hand: 33.65% chipped Right Hand: 43.63% chipped Male percentage of chipping: 44.49% chipped Female percentage of chipping: 26.97% chipped

  5. Conclusions We concluded that male’s nails chipped more than females. Our data might not be correct because one person brought up the male percentage of chipping. To improve this experiment, we could have the people doing the same activities.
