Campus Welcome Back Picnic • Fun and exciting way to start off the Fall Semester • SWE hosts but all campus engineering organizations get involved • Great way for freshman to learn about campus activities and ways to get involved • Free food, prizes and give-a-ways • Boosts membership and recognition on campus

  3. Night with Industry • Formal dinner with professional females in the local area • Matching of students with professionals working in their field of interest • Great networking event • Attracts between 30-40 students • Helps promote SWE on campus Milwaukee School of Engineering

  4. Best Practice - Fundraising • Host Evening with Industry • Night before Career Fair • Less travel for company reps • Both students and company reps purchase tickets • Do not have to be member to attend • Allow time before and during the meal to socialize • During meal, try to pair students and companies with people they want to work with • Allow companies to sponsor tickets and prizes

  5. Chocolate Soiree • Who: Often co-hosted with another student organization – open to all students • What: Community Service Event • Provide chocolate fondue and snacks • Ask for nonperishable food donation • Volunteer activity (often organized with the Salvation Army) • This past year made cards for local hospital • Where: Campus • When: Annual Event
