Cluster Strategy and Processes • Strategy: Provide a customized set of support to each business over a sustained period of time to achieve success in commercialization and job growth • Process: Step 1 – Company completes an application requesting services Step 2 – Cluster invites the CEO to an “InTake” meeting with senior staff to create an initial plan for strategy and support Step 3 - Cluster continually interfaces with company and adjusts the plan and strategy as needed

Services Provided • The Cluster provides a customized subset of the services listed below: X SBDC Services X Small business access to capital X Commercialization of technology X Improve small business marketing strategies X Export assistance X IP/patent assistance X Building small business organizational capacity X Networking X Showcasing events X SBIR/STTR X Workforce development X Industry specific workshops/ “Think Tank” sessions X Provision of testing and development facilities X Corporate Branding Strategy and Redesign X Assistance in obtaining product development funding X Assistance in meeting key government PM and creating prime contractor partnerships

Accomplishments • Companies Currently Included in the Cluster – 43 • Examples of technologies supported: Enhanced autonomous capabilities for small unmanned vehicles GPS Location System Technologies Surveillance, sensors and situational awareness technologies Cyber Security Solutions Advances in energy generation, storage, and efficiency Environmental detection, monitoring and restoration Wireless communications systems • Total Investments or awards to small businesses - $65,816,000 • Total pending - $9,030,000 Approved for Public Release
