  1. Summary of Genesis God created. Satan destroyed. Men fell.Jehovah promised to save. Jehovah called out. God Created. The Serpent destroyed. Adam, Abel, Enoch, Noah Abraham Joseph Issac, Jacob • Adam: ancester of the created race. • Abraham: ancester of the called race.

  2. Chapter 1

  3. Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Day 6 Day 4 Day 5

  4. Gen 1 1. In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Satan rebelled and fell. 2. Now the earth was (became) formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.

  5. Origin of Satan • He was the angel leading worship You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes was prepared for you on the day you were created. You were the anointed cherub who covers;  I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. (Ezek 28:12-14, NKJV)

  6. Origin of Satan • He was the highest archangel But even the archangel Michael, when he was disputing with the devil about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a slanderous accusation against him, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!“ (Jude 9)

  7. Rebellion of Satan • Cause: pride Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. (Ezek 28:17)

  8. Rebellion of Satan • Purpose: lifting himself to equal with God You said in your heart, "I will ascend to heaven; I will raise my throne above the stars of God; I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly, on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. I will ascend above the tops of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High." But you are brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit. (Is 14:13-15)

  9. In contrast, Christ humbled himself... Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Phil 2:5-11)

  10. God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble. (James 4:6; 1 Peter 5:5)

  11. Rebellion of Satan • Process: leading 1/3 angels to rebel His tail swept a third of the stars (i.e. angels) out of the sky and flung them to the earth. (Rev 12:4) (Maybe there were creatures on earth then, and they also rebelled with Satan.)

  12. Rebellion of Satan • Result: they were under judgement Fallen angels became evil spirits and occupyed the air. (see Eph. 6:12) (Maybe those rebelling creatures on earth became spirits deprived of bodies, i.e. demons, and dewelt in waters.)(see Matt. 12:43) The earth became formless and empty, and was covered by waters. (see Gen. 1:2)

  13. The six days of creation may represent the process of a man’s growth after he was born again.

  14. … the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters. And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. (Gen 1:2-3) When he (Holy Spirit) comes, he will convict the world of guilt in regard to sin and righteousness and judgment. (John 16:8) Spirit Faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. (Rom. 10:17) Word rhema For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.(2Cor. 4:6) Light

  15. When the Spirit, the word and the light came, there were three “seperation”. Day 1: Sep. btwn the light and the darkness Wnen a man is born again, he can distinguish between the light and the darkness, and between life and death. Day 2: Sep. btwn the above and the below He can now tell the difference between heavenly and earthly, spiritual and worldly. Day 3: Sep. btwn the sea and the land The 3rd day - resurrection; sea - death; land - Christ Life of Christ begins to appear. (grass, veg, trees)

  16. Day 4: Astrospheres appear To know Christ (sun), the church (moon) and the model of victorious saints (stars). …to separate the day from the night, … to mark seasons and days and years. Day 5: Fish and birds appear Fish: the life overcomes the water of death. Birds: the life overcomes the earthly world. (eagle) Day 6: Beasts, livestock and man appear Life of Christ is manifested even more. (lion, ox, man)

  17. Also before the throne there was what looked like a sea of glass, clear as crystal. In the center, around the throne, were four living creatures, and they were covered with eyes, in front and in back. The first living creature was like a lion, the second was like an ox, the third had a face like a man, the fourth was like a flying eagle. (Rev 4:6-7) -- Christ is the King Lion: Gospel of Matthrew The law and parables of the kingdom of heaven -- Christ is the Servant Ox: Gospel ofMark His miracles, power and action -- Christ is the perfect Man Man: Gospel ofLuke His humanity, compassion and prayer life -- Christ is the Son of God Eagle: Gospel ofJohn His divinity, His relationship with the Father

  18. Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground." (Gen 1:26) Purposes man was made: 1. In God’s image and likeness, to manifest God. (as priest) 2. With God’s authority to rule over the earth and to conquer the enemy. (as king) It is he who will build the temple of the LORD, and he will be clothed with majesty and will sit and rule on his throne. And he will be a priest on his throne. And there will be harmony between the two (i.e. the kingship and the priesthood). (Zech 6:13)

  19. (as king) The more a man comes in contact with God, the more he can be like God, and then he can conquer God’s enemy.
