Overview • NEM 1 & 2 - Northeast Mixed Mode voice and data network. • TRR – Transcon Radio Relay network – Manned net run keyboard to keyboard digital format • TPN – Transcon Pactor Netowrk –Unmanned network of bulletinboard stations automatically forwarding messages. • ALE – Automatic Link Establishment – Stations using Military Standard software for automatically linking and sending messages. • W2K – Winlink 2000 – Email over radio.
MIXED MODE NETWORKS NEM1 – daily at 0900 ET NEM2 – daily at 1900 ET Training for digital operation NEDTM1 – Tuesday 2000 ET
Transcon Radio Relay Net • (TRR) • Operates in MFSK16 – Multiple Frequency Shift Keying with 16 tones. • Operates 7 days a week • 1000 to 1100 ET on channel TVE • 1900 to 2100 ET on channel TVE • Alternate channel is TVG
TRANSCON PACTOR NETOWRK Based on the legacy BBS system and is used only by AF MARS. HF message centers in the NE Division. AFB2MC – TPE AFC2MC – TPE Pactor I TAC Winmor AFE3MC – TPE
Winlink 2000 (All MARS services) • Software (RMS Express) is available from • http://www.winlink.org • There is a Yahoo Tech Group: MARS_Winlink • Connects automatically with Winlink 2000 stations via HF. VHF links available in some areas. • Connects via internet using Telnet protocol. • Winmor TNC included in RMS Express for sound card operation.
