  2. Because of sewer capacity limitations, in short term shift industrial attraction focus to smaller and mid-sized food processors and other manufacturers. Suppliers to and customers of larger processors make excellent targets Continue to respond to leads from Trade and Commerce and the Kings EDC Actively encourage existing retailers in categories showing leakage to expand Provide training and assistance to existing retailers seeking to expand Recommendations from SWOT Analysis

  3. Attract new retailers that will better serve city and base residents e.g., actively seek home improvement and other retailers for highway commercial area, recognizing there may not yet be a market for big box store types. Study the base exchanges and other retail opportunities on base for offerings and prices. Work with the base to establish services not available at the interchange Recommendations from SWOT Analysis
