  2. Who are we? • A joint initiative between the Brazilian Federal Government and UNAIDS • Aim: increase and nourish sustainable national responses to the AIDS epidemic • Based on South to south collaboration • Horizontal cooperation: exchange of knowledge between developing countries

  3. Partners and Sponsors • UNAIDS • Brazilian government • GTZ • DFID • Netherlands Embassy in Brazil • UN agencies (UNFPA; UNICEF; UNESCO)

  4. International Reference Group • An advisory group composed of specialists from governments, scientific and technical institutions, civil society organisations, UNAIDS, and other organisations contributing to the Centre • The group will revise the Centre’s work plans, monitor and evaluate the implementation of the Centre and its work, and provide technical expertise

  5. Networking • Pre-qualifications process – organisations from the South can apply to be a member of the ICTC network • Database allowing for the automatic selection of a pool of qualified candidates according to sensitive selection criteria • 76 Organizations = 22 Brazilian NGOs, 8 Latin American NGOs, and 46 Brazilian public organizations (health services and universities)
