1. Increasing Use of Applicant Tracking System for 2020 2020 has had surprises that have caught the world off-guard. Who would have thought that a virus so tiny that it remains hidden from the naked eye could hold the potential of having the most dramatic effect on the world – new cases are being reported daily, entire cities are under lockdowns or restricted movement, and most importantly, millions of people have either been laid off or had their salary cut. This has naturally created an upsurge in job search. Companies need to brace themselves for a massive wave of job applicants flooding their inboxes with applications and resumes. Without a useful technology such as the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), organizations face the threat of a slow hiring process. An ATS is an employer’s best friend during this overwhelming time as it will streamline the hiring process, maximize onboarding efficiency, and draw in the most qualified candidates. 2020 Hiring: Hopeless without Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) Here are some additional sobering facts besides the COVID-19 pandemic – A study conducted by Manpower Group found that in 2019, nearly 7 in every 10 companies reported experiencing talent shortages. CareerBuilder reported that the most talented candidates remain in the job market only 10 days before accepting a job offer. The same report stated that 55% of the applicants surveyed admitted that they wouldn’t apply for a company with negative reviews online. And the sad part is only 45% of employers make efforts to address candidate issues. No matter what, the truth is that the job market is more candidate-driven than ever. So, companies need to leverage technological advancements like the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to streamline their hiring process, thereby improving the hiring experience for applicants. How does All of This Work? An ATS software helps employers in a couple of ways, as discussed below. 1.It allows them to publish job postings across multiple avenues such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Glassdoor, CareerBuilder, Google Jobs, Indeed, even the company’s Career Page – using a single platform. 2.More often than not, companies miss out on excellent potential candidates owing to a lengthy and hard-to-understand application process. ATS streamlines the whole process, ensuring a user-friendly way for applicants to apply.

2. 3.An ATS software enables customized workflows and single dashboard candidate management. As a result, the HR team does not need to browse through multiple job platforms, remember emails, track candidates through several dashboards, etc. 4.The ATS software offers the feature of pre-screener questions to sift candidates with ease. This eliminates the time-consuming process of going through thousands of applications and shortlists only the best ones for the interview. 5.Routine, mundane tasks such as scheduling interviews, compiling interview feedback for other team members, and sending emails to shortlisted and rejected applicants are all carried out by the ATS software. 6.The ATS software streamlines the onboarding process as well. The best way it does so is by digitizing the entire process where candidates need to review, fill in, and sign e-documents. A “20/20” vision of the world today makes this one truth crystal clear – the best time to invest in an ATS software is now, especially if organizations are serious about hiring the best talent.
