  1. 2011 WIB Assessment Research & Analysis Committee June 2, 2011

  2. Summary • WIB Assessment is an annual report card on the health of our Board • -18% change in response rate vs. 2010 actual • Overall, our health is better than last years

  3. My role and responsibility as a Board Member is clearly understood

  4. My professional experience and expertise is fully utilized as a Board Member

  5. Our organization’s policies, activities, and progress are effectively communicated to all Board Members

  6. I actively participate in ad hoc and standing committee activities

  7. Fellow Board Members are equally involved in participation and committee work

  8. The Board successfully promotes JobLink and AEC to area businesses

  9. WIB Members are sufficiently knowledgeable of the AEC and JobLink programs and services

  10. What topics would you like to see presented/discussed at future WIB meetings? • What is working and what is not working--discuss why and how to maintain or improve • Too many members to have healthy discussion • Learn more about each of the Board members companies/organizations and how we can help each other out. • I'm a recent addition to the board and I am looking to learn more about ways I can collaborate

What topics would you like to see presented/discussed at future WIB meetings? • Other Board members presentations of their companies and roles and how networking this information may help reach our objectives • Update on economic and labor market stats for Alex and Arlington • Potential for environmentally friendly/green jobs and businesses; weatherization employment opportunities
