WIB Board Member Expectations and Responsibilities
The WIB Board expects members to provide strategic guidance nationally alongside the President. Members must serve a minimum of three years and can be eligible for a second term. Attendance is critical, with a requirement for presence at all six board meetings per year, allowing for up to two absences. Members are asked to make a financial contribution or gain an equivalent amount of $2,500 annually. Candidates must be professionals in the Life Sciences and maintain good standing as WIB members. Committee participation is permitted, but members cannot serve as chairs.

WIB Board Expectations R&R • Provide Strategic Guidance to WIB Nationally with the President • Serve at least 3 years (may have a second term) • Present for all Board meetings (6 per year) • 2 absences are acceptable • “Give or Get” of $2500 per year • Must be a professional in the Life Sciences • Must be a Member in good standing • Can serve on a Committee but not Chair
