  2. Services: • MedAir is a unique, corporately funded company, dedicated to using hovercraft technology to more efficiently rescue lives in Seattle, Washington and improve response time to faster reach the emergency.

  3. History: • In 1980, a major car crash resulted in a fire in downtown Seattle. Many kids, including Emilio Anselmo, were trapped inside the burning cars. Traffic slowed down, and emergency vehicles rushed to the scene. However the traffic jam blocked the truck’s access to the fire, and the fire became untamable. Many of the kids died but Emillio lived.

  4. History: • Emillio in his late teens decided to build a vehicle that improves emergency vehicle efficiency. He started on a design and then made a prototype in his garage. Next, he came up with the idea to make a private company with his prototype at the center.  

  5. History: • After Emilio became interested in improving the problem in Seattle he shared his idea with the public. Founded in 2007, MedAir dedicating the company to all children in Seattle who have perished because of poor response time of the emergency vehicles necessary to save their lives. He gave his step sister, Alyda the lead to represent the company, and together they successfully started the company MedAir.

  6. Importance • Improves Aviation and Aerospace industry - New Airborne Vehicles - Hovercraft Technology • It is important to create a company that is different than other companies because they will stand out and make a difference to the community.

  7. Funding: • Raised money by producing and selling the alternate bio fuel we produced for our hover-crafts. • Later, we received funding from other major emergency response companies. - King County Emergency Management - Seattle Police Department - Seattle Fire Department • Finally we received grant from Boeing, since our company

  8. For-Profit • Makes money by - Grants and Donations - Emergency response tax money - Alternate Fuel Sales • Uses money to - Update software (I.e. GPS Systems) - Provide new materials - Pay and support employees

  9. Culture • Believe in the overall good of the company • Feel good about their work each day • Cooperation • Similar, achievable, goals. • General interest in stepping outside job descriptions • Passionate about jobs. • Have fun at work, but still get the job done • Employees are able to trust their co workers
