  1. High School Graduation Essay Graduation Through out life people go through so many hardships. Whether it be good or bad there is always something that comes out of the situation. One of the most exciting but yet scariest events would be graduation. For a lot of people, graduating from high school is a goal. It takes a lot of time and effort to achieve that goal. In the long run, it opens a lot of opportunities for people to succeed. Graduation is the end of high school, and the beginning to life. I can almost remember that day like it was yesterday, I awoke like on any other school day. It was a gorgeous May morning, the rays of sun flittered through my miniblinds blinding me as if I hadn't seen light in days. I sluggishly dragged my limp body out of...show more content... Once I was finished, I gathered up my cap and gown and my car keys and headed out the door. All the graduates had to meet in the high school library an hour before the ceremonies started, and I promised one of my best friends Tony that we would go together. I knocked on his back door and let myself in like I always do. All of his family members were running throughout the house trying to get ready. I asked his mom where Tony was and she proceeded to tell me that he was in the bathroom getting ready. I tapped on the door and walked in. He was standing in front of the mirror with his cap and gown on. He look me straight in the eyes and said," Can you believe that we are about to graduate?" I replied," No, it really hasn't set in yet." Tony finished getting ready, and then we left for the high school. The parking lot was filled with all the other seniors' cars. Tony and I walked into the library ten minutes late like usual, and the principal had already started giving instructions. I found my place in line and then was all ears. I couldn't help but look around at all the others. Smiles were plastered on their faces as if they had heard a hilarious joke. Once the principal concluded his speech, the whole senior class paraded down the hallway to the commons in two uniform lines stopping just outside the gymnasium doors. We could hear the band warming up and playing songs. All the people that were standing around me were bubbling ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  2. Ready For High School Arriving at high school was a new and scary experience for me as it is for most kids. Some of the kids looked older than my parents. I felt I was in over my head. I was nervous. If you have these feelings like I did don't worry because it's perfectly normal and there are things you can do to feel more comfortable when beginning your high school career. The main thing that makes kids coming into high school get nervous about is that they think the classes will be too hard or that they're not prepared enough. In order to ease some of these worries, I'll give you some useful tips to make sure you're ready for high school. Studying before big exams or even small quizzes is a great way to get rid of anxiousness. One thing you can do if you're nervous about a test would be to write down the things that are worrying...show more content... When picking out a backpack for the school year you should pick something that's going to be durable and last you the whole year. Your first priority when picking out a backpack should be durability and style should come second. The most important thing you should have in your backpack would be a 2 pencils and 2 pens. Also, depending on your classes, you should have a notebook for each one of your courses. Other miscellaneous things you should have are: highlighters, erasers, a calculator, a binder, some dividers, glue, and a pair of scissors. There are also tons of resources you can use if you need help in any of your classes or just overall advice. For instance, the internet, you can consult your teachers, counselors or a close friend that knows what they're doing. A good website for math help is www.khanacademy.org, and for English help one would be easyworldofenglish.com. Overall, high school is not something you should not be something you see as scary but rather something you should see as an opportunity to succeed and create a future for ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  4. My Life In High School High School: The Early Years My early years of high school were the greatest years of my life. High school came with a lot of new things, varsity sports, driving, and even spending more time out with friends. Even though most of these things are everyday normal activities now, they were brand new to me in my early years. I discovered and made routine of many new things throughout my first three years of high school. School work, activities, and even sports were entirely different in high school compared to junior high. Although I wasn't used to the life of a high school student, I caught on and began to love it very quickly. It all started my freshman year. When I arrived at school on my first day of high school, I knew my life was going to be very different. For starters, the classes seemed to have made a big change. My classes were different because each one required more work and dedication. The one thing I remember loving most about my freshman year was the new friends I made. Because of my involvement in high school sports and clubs, I was able to make friends with most upper classmen. One of my favorite memories was track season. I ran a relay with two seniors and a sophomore in my school and we all became really close. That season brought us closer together than we would have ever imagined, and I'm proud to say that I made it to state with them. My sophomore was very similar to freshman year, but much better. My classes were more fun, and I got along with my upper classmen even better than before. Through sports, I made endless memories with the people I called my friends, family, and teammates. They meant the world to me, and I believe it was this year that I learned and valued the true meanings of brotherhood, commitment, and adversity. My football team is an example of this. We started the season of eleven–man football with sixteen players, but by week four, we only had twelve left. One of our men left was hurt so we had to play that game with eleven people. We were given the shameless option by the coaches, school, and administrators to forfeit the rest of the season, but we decided to keep playing. Almost all players played every snap that whole season. Most of us had injuries like me; two ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  5. My Teaching Philosophy Essay My Teaching Philosophy I believe that education extends far beyond the classroom walls, and involves many more people than students and teachers. People should be learning wherever they go, and should continue learning long after they've graduated from high school or college. Education isn't something that can be quantified with tests or report cards, but is instead something that people carry with them. It's a survival pack for life, and some people are better equipped in certain areas than in others. People with a solid education are prepared for nearly anything, as they will be able to provide for their own physical, emotional, and aesthetic needs. That being said, I also believe that a crucial part of education does...show more content... The roles of a teacher are so many and so varied that it is impossible to list them all, but one of the most important is preparing students to learn, not only in the classroom, but everywhere, and for the rest of their lives. Learning is not a skill that is necessarily instinctual or easy, and therefore different approaches must be used to make learning easier and more fun for students. Teaching is not a skill that can be memorized or made repetitive, and so teachers must continue to challenge not only their students, but also themselves. Teachers that become complacent in their jobs are not good teachers. Those who can find a way to make an old lesson new and exciting will have an energized classroom, and will be reenergized themselves. Every child is different. That sounds like an obvious statement, but so many ineffective teachers seem to forget this. Each student has his or her own varying abilities, talents, and levels of competence, and it is the job of a teacher not only to recognize this, but to help each student recognize this as well. If a child isn't doing well in a particular subject, both the teacher and the student should work towards figuring out why, and the teacher should accept the challenge of finding a way to make a particular subject more ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...

  6. Essay on High School Internships High School Internships When thinking about graduating high school and going into college, do you ever think that you will get a job right when you graduate? Yes that may be the case for some individuals but for the more technical jobs and the ones that require more schooling for, look for student who have experience with their major. It is important to know the different internships that are offered throughout high school and college. Browsing through the Missoula hospitals web pages I found information regarding the different types of job shadowing and volunteer work that they provide. Starting with St. Patrick Hospital web page I found a link leading to the different volunteer work that they have to offer. St. Patrick Hospital's...show more content... Participants must be at least 16 years of age and enrolled in related high school or college courses or is an adult who has expressed great interest in a health care career (Shadowing Program Policy" 2). It's great knowing that Missoula has these wonderful connections with the hospitals. I guess my real question is that why don't they offer any internships through the school year and only during the summer? I want to know why the only common internships for the medical field are offered during summer hours and not during the school year. Frenchtown High School 2013–2014 Registration Course Selection Guide stated that "Frenchtown requires student to have 24 credits to graduate. As you get older you are offered more elective classes to take. You have eight classes per semester attending four each day" (6). Most students toward the end of their senior year already have 20–22 credits, meaning you only need two more credits to be eligible to graduate. These seniors have so much time on their hands, and they end up taking work releases or classes they don't enjoy doing. As a senior myself I find myself taking classes that I don't need, but take just to fill in a class period. Having this said, there is so much time on their hands to be able to do an internship during the school year, and not just in the summer. As I interviewed both our High School Principal Jake ...Get more content on HelpWriting.Net...
