  3. Strengthening of Iran • Iran is stronger today because of the US-led invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq • Iran has friendly ties with the Shiites now in power in Iraq. • Iran's relations with Afghanistan improved, their trade grew and Iran helped build roads and power lines in Afghanistan

  4. Economic Cost Of Iraq • The cost of the war in Iraq is now at $820,937,373,685 • This cost will increase to over 3 trillion when taking care of veterans is factored in.

  5. Weakening of The U.S. Military • The U.S has weakened its military in Iraq. • Some say that the military is dangerously thinning in Iraq

  6. Information of the Iraq War(The Iraqi “Government) • There is no such thing as the Iraqi “Army” • The Iraqi government is just about non-existent. The government which runs the Iraqis tends to be smaller local governments • There is a growing movement to resistance in the Shia Areas of Iraq

  7. Disbanding of the Iraqi Military • The Iraqi Army was dispanded by the U.S. in 2003 • Hundreds of thousands of men who were trained and ready to fight dissapearred • They are now rebuilt and are the Americans greatest ally in the fight against the insurgents

DeBa’athification • The United States policy to try to remove the Ba’ath parties influence on Iraq • Deba’athification was used as a political tool in Iraq • This caused many Iraqis who were connected to the ba’ath party to lose their jobs • Deba’thification hurt the economy of Iraq due to those who lost their jobs.
