  1. Julie Owens Delmar Elementary 5th grade Math

  2. Equipment Received… • Tablet and LCD projector • Document Camera • Turning Point • eBeam • School Pad

  3. Our Favorite piece of equipment…

  4. How I used the equipment to enhance instruction • Used the document camera daily for warm-ups, class demonstrations, manipulative use, homework review, etc. • Used Turning Point to review at the end of each chapter as well as before MSA • Used the School Pad to get everyone involved with interactive sites and manipulatives

  5. Used the tablet and LCD projector to show Power Points throughout each chapter • Incorporated United Streaming Videos into many Power Points and Turning Points • Used Turning Point reports to form flexible learning groups • Used tablet and LCD projector to play Jeopardy review games

  6. The equipment made a huge difference in my students. Check out their excitement!

  7. A memorable experience… • On the first day that I used the School Pad, I saw emotion from a very withdrawn student. Up until this point in the year, this student had NEVER participated in a class discussion. Now, he is the first one with his hand up to use the School Pad. My principal actually walked in during this lesson and commented about the very same thing.

  8. What I’ve learned from this experience • Technology motivates all students. • Technology can be used to differentiate instruction. • Technology allows all students to be actively engaged in lessons. • ***Having technology readily available allows for daily use!
