  4. Endocrine System Regulates the body with hormones

  5. Excretory System Removes waste from the body

  6. Integumentary System Provides protection of the body

  7. Muscular System Provides movement of the body

  8. Nervous System Controls and coordinates the body

  9. Reproductive System Produces offspring

  10. Respiratory System Exchanges oxygen and carbon dioxide

  11. Skeletal System Provides structure and protection for the body

  12. Carbohydrate Molecule made up of carbon, hydrogen, and oxygen; chemical break down results in sugars

  13. Chemical change The formation of a new substance with different properties; cannot be undone by physical means

  14. Feedback mechanism A response within a system that influences the activity of that system

  15. Force A push or pull that can change the position or motion of an object

  16. Homeostasis The body’s ability to keep the internal balance of the body stable

  17. Physical change Change which alters matter without changing its chemical composition or the identity of the substance

  19. Stimulus A thing or event that causes a response or action
